I never imagined myself carting. I was a trail rider until I had to retire my riding pony. When she needed a new companion, I decided to downsize and get a mini.
The mini I found....belonged to Barb and, she had trained her to drive. I bought the pony, harness and a Kbike!
I had no experience carting and had had the belief that harnessing would be a hassle or complicated. Really, it is no more complicated than tacking up to ride!
These Kbikes are fantastic!.....really well made; light and easy for a mini/Shetland cross to pull; super comfortable to sit in; take very little space to store; easy to transport in the back of a truck or trailer and the best part is, you are sitting so close to your pony you really feel connected, just like riding!
Carting has become my new joyful passion and, place of peace, relaxation and absolute fun! And, I have a very fit, healthy and happy wee pony!!

I am a first time horse owner, and chose to buy a shetland pony and learn to drive. I love my Kbike and my pony does as well. We have been having so much fun exploring all the trails here in our area. I would definitely recommend a Kbike to anyone with a pony that needs a job, and likes adventure.
